Pinpoint Laser Systems has an immediate opening for an Application Engineer with strong, hands-on, mechanical skills and a technically oriented background. We are looking for a candidate who will join and help strengthen our Team.
The Position
We are seeking a talented and motivated Application Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience with integrating mechanical or optical systems. This role involves providing technical sales support, developing application solutions, and collaborating with our sales team and customers to meet their needs.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Provide technical support and expertise to the sales team and customers.
- Develop and implement application solutions for system components.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to design and optimize products.
- Create and engage presentations and documentation to communicate client solutions.
- Engage and create video training and documentation for product use.
- Support the sales team with technical inquiries and customer visits.
- Address customers’ needs and provide solutions to enhance their experience
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in sales/application engineering or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical components and assembly.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Solidworks/CAD software and other engineering tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Beneficial Skills:
- Microsoft Office products including MS Project.
- AM Manufacturing, 3D Printing, Raised 3D printer.
- Lathe & Milling Machining Experience.
