“The Pinpoint Laser Alignment system that I purchased has worked really well for us over the years, and KTF (The Kauai Test Facility operated by Sandia National Laboratories for the Department of Energy) is still using it today (2020). I installed 450 inches of this rail on our Pad 1 20K launcher then precisely aligned all rail segments to within .012” TIR from front to back on that entire rail installation. It gives rockets launched from this launcher a “velvet-smooth ride” down the rails as a rocket system is launched from the very straight rails on this launcher, and that makes the Aero engineers doing impact predictions very happy.”
