New Product: Laser System Now Measures and Aligns Large Bores for Industry

Pinpoint Laser Systems, Inc. has just introduced an adjustable Bore Mount for checking and aligning bores, tubes and flanges on industrial machinery. Versatile measurements of bore concentricity, centerline, straightness, and position can now be made in the field with ease and precision. The Laser Microgage system in conjunction with the Bore Mount is ideal for checking extruders, bore tubes, crank-shaft housings, mounting flanges, propeller shaft tubes and much more. The Laser Microgage is precise, compact and easy to use allowing workers to make accurate measurements and adjustments on their own equipment, directly on the factory floor or in the field with ease so that you can reduce downtime, save money, and keep your equipment running smoothly and efficiently.

Pinpoint Adjustable Bore Mount.

This newest precision bore alignment system is ideal for machinery builders, utilities, aircraft and aerospace, medical, plastics, rubber and many other industrial applications. Originally developed for a large shipyard installing drive shafts, these new mounts can accommodate bore diameters as large as 3 feet and as small as 2 ½ inches. The Laser Microgage projects a visible reference beam that extends out to 180 feet and is accurate to within 0.0005 inch for precision shaft and bore placement and alignment. A digital display provides an accurate readout of the measurement location allowing the user to quickly understand what adjustments need to be made in the bore position and orientation. The mounts are fully adjustable and easily modified for both internal and external bore mounting as well as flange mounting. Each bore mount is made of solid aluminum components with stainless steel hardware to provide years of reliable use in tough industrial environments.

    We are looking for concentricity checking equipment for heat exchanger bores for tube supports 6 nos. in a row at a distance of 800 mm each within the accuracy of 0.1 mm. The diameters of bores at end tube supports is 16.2 mm and middle tube support is 16.8 mm. Pl. suggest us the suitable laser checking transmitter and receiver set.

    Our client wants to measure the concentricity of bore of a pipe for its entire length. The inspection length of pipes are from 5m to 10m. The bores of pipes range from 100mm to 205mm. May you please send catalogue of laser tool developed by Pinpoint Laser Systems for checking and aligning bores of tubes/pipes so that we can check its suitability of application of our client.
